Annie Moore is memorialized in two bronze statues by Jeanne Rynhart, one of which stands near the pier in Cobh where she left Ireland's shores and the other in the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.
Annie Moore was 15 years old on January 1, 1892, the day she departed for America aboard the steamship Nevada with her two brothers, Anthony and Phillip. She and her brothers had embarked from the port of Cobh, Co. Cork, to join their parents, who had emigrated three years before.
The very first immigrant to pass through Ellis Island, Annie went on to become a true American, later marrying, moving west, and bearing first-generation American citizens. 10" high. Gift boxed with cetificate of authenticity, care instructions and information about the artist.
